The Enduring Adore? project will use a mixture of techniques to research different dimensions of adult couple relationships in contemporary Britain, focusing people’s emotional experience and lived relationship practices.
We‘re employing a qualitative mixed methods approach to access accounts of emotional life and everyday relationship practices. This‘ll enable us to review realms of embodied dating life which operate alongside talk, exploring shared and private strategies of talking and never talking. More particularly our approach will draw upon a rapid spectrum of research senses, encouraging possibilities to listen and hear, to seem and find out. This‘ll afford insights into how emotional lives are experienced and also the everyday practices of intimacy that combine to sustain relationships.
